Secret Monday
Monday saw me and kay having dinner at Secret Recipe and food was rather esp palatable today. The dinner set banner was placed outside, big enough to capture our attention. After much contemplation, we settled down at Secret Recipe and finally decided to enter, but no one seemed to be noticing our presence. Even the waitress who was quite near to us, couldn't even bother to bring us to our seats. Upon entrance of Secret Recipe, there was this string of words and i couldn't help but suspect how true that string of words was. It says, "Please Allow us to seat you."(something like that) Judging by our situation, it was more like we bringing ourselves to our seats, so self-service is incorporated in this manner too? Plus, the lady waitress wasn't showing any signs of remorsefulness despite us being so close at her face alrdy. With her stern face, she asked her colleague to show us to the seats instead, as if we were disrupting her work! Nowadays, the service quality of Singapore makes me ponder.

No pictures, sorry, but judging from the name of the dish, it should be able to make you drool alittle. I had Grilled Dory with Lobster sauce and the sauce was great, it was accompanied with cake of the day and lemon tea. Portion of the main course was just nice and it wasn't too oily and the cake of the day was Marble Cake, an award winning one. Of course, this string of words will make me ponder, whether it was rly the case. However, marble cheesecake was rly tasty, soft cheesecake with oats crust, totally thumbs up and portion was good enough for me. kay had her tom yum goong and i rly enjoyed the spicy factor in her soup and the big fat prawns. Oh oh, and her brocolli cream soup was appetizing. Mushroom soup for soup of the day is a bore already. So, brocolli cream soup was a vry comfortable one on the tummy. In a nutshell, dinner ended with a beautiful note.

But, kay caught the flu bug and peeling outbreak after sunburnt. Suddenly, the flu had triggered without any warning. Even the indian cabbie was so concerned too, volunteering to lower the power of aircon, providing tissue and asking her to drink more warm water! Is it because of the recent H1N1 flu that's making him make those sweet comments or is it just me, being skeptical? Haha, o well, i should give the cabbie the benefit of doubt.

Tmr is a long day of fyp and interview, gotta wake up real early. I hope i still have the energy to carry on for next 3 days of fyp; more supplements and vitamins and water and laughter to last me through this short and sweet 2 weeks holiday. Ciao!

(sorry for the lengthy post, doubt i would hv much time for blogging when sch starts)
